“Kill” New Teaser: Lakshay Transforms Train Ride Into Blood-Soaked Battle

Release Date: July 5

Location: New Delhi

The makers of “Kill” have unveiled a gripping new teaser for the film, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and starring Lakshay, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala. The teaser introduces us to Army commando Amrit, played by Lakshay, who learns that his true love, Tulika (Tanya Maniktala), is being forced into a marriage. Determined to intervene, Amrit boards the New Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express.

What ensues is a chaotic and bloody confrontation as a gang of knife-wielding thieves, led by the merciless Fani (Raghav Juyal), begins terrorizing the passengers. The teaser showcases Amrit’s fierce rampage throughout the train, transforming each carriage into a battleground. With relentless and visceral combat scenes, “Kill” promises to be an action-packed spectacle where survival hinges on embracing the carnage. This pulse-pounding preview sets the stage for a non-stop, high-octane thrill ride, turning a simple train journey into a gruesome war zone.

The caption for the teaser reads: “A sneak peek of blood, blood and blood! Starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal & Tanya Maniktala. Written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. #KILL, India theatrical release – 5th July. Warning: This film contains violent content which may be intense and disturbing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised.”

“Kill,” set to hit theaters on July 5, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in August 2023, where it received positive feedback from audiences. Notably, “Kill” was the only Indian film screened under the Midnight Madness program, known for its fan-favorite selection and its focus on the “weird and the wicked.”

Standing out in Indian cinema, “Kill” is a rare entry in the extreme action genre. The story unfolds entirely on an express train heading to New Delhi, following Indian army commandos Amrit and Viresh on their mission to rescue Amrit’s girlfriend, Tulika, who is unwillingly engaged to another man.
