Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Chennai opened in Vandalur in 1985, and spans 602 hectares, offering a wide array of wildlife experiences. 2. VGP Snow Kingdom

VGP Snow Kingdom is India’s largest snow theme park, it offers a unique and exciting escape from the city’s heat. It is located next to VGP Universal Kingdom, East Coast, Injambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, approximately 22 Km from Chennai City Center.  

The best time to experience the Snow Kingdom is during the summer months, from March to June, when the contrast with Chennai’s heat makes the cool, snowy environment particularly refreshing. 4. Chetpet Eco Park

Muttukadu Lake comes under the Tamil Nadu Tourism Corporation and offers a variety of water sports including speed boat riding, kayaking, paddling, windsurfing, and water skiing. The lake’s shallow waters make it especially suitable for windsurfing and water skiing, with the best time for these activities being between November and March when the climate is most favorable. The seafood available is also a highlight for visitors.

6. Anna Centenary Library

Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram is a must-visit place if your kid loves reading. On the first floor of the library lies the children’s section, which has over 60,000 books in various languages. Children can pick the one they like and read in the cozy atmosphere of the library, decorated with an artificial tree under which kids can read, which makes it a fantastic visit for families.  Unfortunately, the library doesn’t support lending services.

10. Tamil Nadu Police Museum

The Tamil Nadu Police Museum in Chennai is a captivating destination that showcases the rich history and contributions of the state’s police force.
